Date ideas for those who like a little amuse-bouche before the main event.
As the temperature drops the heat between us only swells to new heights. The latter half of the year is always the prime time to sequester yourself away with a beauty in your bed. Maybe that’s why dates from August onwards always hit that little bit different. Sharing warmth amongst other things..
With a wide eyed optimism I am looking forward to what the next couple of months will have in store. I like to fantasise sometimes, probably like you will be doing too reading this. Picturing yourself with your hand grasped around mine as we dive into all these little snapshot adventures that serve as the perfect amuse-bouche to the kind of meal best served in sultry lit privacy.
So here is a little list. A collection of date ideas to spark your interest. I want you to imagine how explosive the intimacy can be when you allow the time to connect with your paramour. To explore one another in a SFW setting, a tease here and there, a kiss, a touch, a lingering look.. all to get the blood pumping before you take things back to the room for some very NSFW action. And let’s not forget the shameless snogging in the back of a black cab.
As a little bit of a cinephile you can’t escape the nostalgic thrill of sitting together on a date in a darkened room stealing snacks and little looks as art lights up the screen. Even better when it’s the everyman and we can get a sofa together and properly snuggle up… not to mention the at seat cocktails and intimate setting. There’s so many films coming out in this later half of the year, it would be a shame to miss this opportunity!
If that doesn’t tickle your fancy then maybe something a little more energetic may fit the bill. I challenge you to an axe throwing duel! Whoever fares the best, get’s to take control of things in the bedroom. I love a little bit of healthy competition, my historic love of board games should be the biggest clue to my competitive nature. And trust me, I shall do my best to beat you. But should I get a taste of what’s to come later, I cannot be trusted not to throw the game just so you can throw me down on the bed after a very masculine show of your prowess in the build up.
Are you more of a creative type? Have whispers of my phallic creations met your ears and you know of naughty little art project? How does a painting/pottery date sound? Sex is creation, at it’s bare bones that’s what it’s designed for. Art and sex have always intersected and self expression comes to the fore. What better way to start of an evening where carnal delights are on the menu than to let loose and do something out of the box like make something with our own hands and minds.
Now my love of whisky is well documented. If it’s something that we share an interest in well, you and I are going to make quite the pair aren’t we? Maybe we should start our date at a whisky tasting.. there’s a Japanese Whisky experience i’ve had my eye on and all I need is the perfect partner. Maybe he’s reading this right now and can’t wait to get his mouth around a glass whilst musing about just what else I can do with mine.
If my gothic nature has not been obvious enough well this next date idea should cement it. Candlelight is my preferred form of illumination. Humanity shines in the flickering tones of lowlights and shadows. This date suggestion has long been on my radar and I have just the dress in mind already planned out. Ever prepared for my dreams to become a reality, manifesting everlasting memories calls to me like a siren song. A concert in candlelight is the kind of date that really sings. Don’t you think?
All of this is not to say that I don’t love meeting over dinner and drinks! The classic encounter that is timeless in ir’s beauty. But these cooler months allow us to touch far more freely. To hide in the shadows far more seductively. And there is so much we could be doing together, before we do each other.
